If you’ve traded crypto in Nigeria, you know the P2P routine: scrolling through merchants, double-checking alerts, and hoping nothing gets reversed. I got tired of it, so I switched to Swapeki. This is my honest Swapeki review, covering what works, what could be better, and who I think it’s for.
TL;DR: Swapeki is a strong pick if you want to buy and sell crypto for naira, buy cheap data and pay bills, all in one place.
- Crypto: Sell Bitcoin, USDT, ETH and USDC for naira without P2P stress, and get competitive rates with fast bank payouts.
- Cheap data: Data prices are lower than what I was paying on my network’s app and most VTU apps.
- Bills: Pay for airtime, electricity and cable TV from the same account, so you can spend your naira right after a trade.
- Security: 2FA is required before you can make crypto transactions.
- Room to improve: The coin list is short and the UI could be more polished.
Verdict: If your priorities are quick payouts, cheap data and easy bill payments, Swapeki is one of the best options I’ve used in Nigeria. Start with a small trade and compare the live rate before you go bigger.

What is Swapeki?
Swapeki (swapeki.com) is a Nigerian platform for trading digital assets for naira. It buys and sells Bitcoin, USDT, ETH and USDC, and also redeems unused gift cards. It goes beyond crypto, too. You can top up airtime, buy data, and pay bills like electricity and cable TV on the same platform.

What I Like About Swapeki
1. The data is really cheap
This is what got me hooked. The data prices on Swapeki are genuinely low, lower than what I was paying through my network’s app and most of the VTU apps I’d tried. If you buy data every month, the savings add up fast.

2. The crypto exchange rates are competitive
When I sell USDT or Bitcoin, the naira I get is competitive. I compare a few platforms before trades, and Swapeki holds its own and often beats them. Rates change by the minute in Nigeria, so always check the live rate before you trade.

3. No P2P stress
Fake alerts, reversed transfers and frozen bank accounts are things many Nigerians have run into on P2P. With Swapeki, you send your crypto and get paid in naira. There’s no haggling with strangers and no wondering whether the payment is real.
4. Payouts are fast
Naira lands in my bank quickly, usually within minutes. The platform advertises payouts to your bank in seconds. In my experience it’s fast enough that you don’t sit around refreshing your banking app.
5. It runs on licensed infrastructure
As I understand it, Swapeki works by using APIs from platforms that are already licensed. For me, that’s a big part of why I’m comfortable using it. The trade itself is handled through established, regulated rails.
6. Everything is in one place
I sell some USDT, and the naira goes straight into data, airtime or bills. I don’t need three different apps, which saves time.
7. Sensible security
Swapeki requires you to enable 2FA before you can make crypto transactions. It’s a small extra step, but I’d rather have it than not.
What Could Be Better
I don’t have many complaints, but two things stand out:
- The coin list is short. It currently covers Bitcoin, USDT, ETH and USDC. That’s all I need for cashing out, but if you want altcoins, you’ll need another platform for those.
- The UI could be improved. It works and I can complete everything I need, but the interface could be more polished and easier to navigate, especially when you’re jumping between crypto trades, data purchases and bill payments.
Both are fixable, and I’d expect them to improve as the platform grows.
Is Swapeki Safe?
My own habits matter more than any platform’s promises. I keep 2FA on, double-check wallet addresses and networks before every transfer, only use the official swapeki.com site, and don’t leave large balances sitting anywhere. I also started small and scaled up after a few smooth trades. I’d suggest you do the same.
Who Is Swapeki Best For?
- You want to cash out USDT or Bitcoin quickly without P2P risk.
- You spend a lot on data and airtime and want lower prices.
- You’d like crypto and everyday payments in one place.
My Verdict: Is Swapeki the Best Platform to Buy and Sell Crypto in Nigeria?
For me, it’s right at the top. The cheap data, competitive exchange rates and fast payouts have made it my go-to, and the coin list and UI are the only real things I’d change. Start with a small trade, compare the live rate against what you usually get, and see for yourself.
